Excellent news! Gwynedd’s Planning Committee has given the thumbs down to the application to erect two 92.5m (303ft) wind turbines at Bodelith on Mynydd Mynyllod. These would have dominated the skyline at Llandderfel and Bethel and would have been visible from Bala and the Snowdonia National Park.
The Planning meeting was attended by a number of STEMM members and Chair of the group, Andrew Jedwell, put forward the reasons for local residents’ opposition to the scheme.
We are now left with the fight to have an application for a 48.01m (157ft) turbine at Llandrillo turned down when it comes before Denbighshire’s Planning meeting on November 11.
